January 14, 2005This is so true!A person, who is nice to you, but rude to a waiter, is NOT a nice person. (This is very important. Pay attention. It never fails.)
Posted by Mark at January 14, 2005 11:23 AM Trackback PingsTrackBack URL for this entry: CommentsYup, yup, I totally agree. Posted by: yadatree at January 14, 2005 2:32 PM Absolutely true!! Posted by: Ginny at January 14, 2005 8:54 PM Yes. Absolutely. Posted by: Karen at January 14, 2005 9:36 PM Another dead giveaway re: whether someone is genuine - if they only show respect to someone they feel can help them. I always try to observe people to see if they are just as nice to the janitor as they would be to the company president. Then I can tell if he/she is being authentic or not. Posted by: Diva at January 15, 2005 1:04 AM From a former waitor, truer words have not often been spoken ;-) Posted by: Ryan Hoover at January 15, 2005 4:06 AM I'm usually nicer to the waiter then I am to the people I eat with. What does that make me?
Slightly off centre like me :) Mark... Posted by: Eric Anderson at January 15, 2005 7:24 AM Yes, it is TRUE! Besides, you never know what the waiter might put in your dish before you get it! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh I would :) Im and ex-submariner and it did not pay to get on the wrong side of the chefs on board I can tell you :) Mark... Posted by: Maddie Dog at January 15, 2005 7:31 PM I find this to be seriously true! As true as a person who kicks a dog will kick you too! Posted by: Jade at January 15, 2005 10:07 PM There's actually a song about this by David Wilcox. Basically it says "if he's mean to the waiter, run!" :-) Posted by: Levi at January 16, 2005 1:30 AM I think you are 100% correct. I was at a bar tonight, and had to remind the bartender three times that our fries didn't arrive. They never did. But we were nice to him the whole time! Posted by: Downtown Lad at January 16, 2005 2:53 AM I live in Japan and was with an American and we went to a restaurnat with a can of beer in his hand. The bloke said you can`t bring that in here and he turned to me and said this man (the waiter) is an idiot so I agree. Posted by: simon at January 16, 2005 6:13 AM I totally agree too, also an ex-waiter.. One thing that really pisses me off is people that are rude to waiting staff and/or look down on them like they are a lower species, I mean wtf, you wanna go in the kitchen and cook it yourself, go ahead. Posted by: ShaolinTiger at January 16, 2005 3:13 PM Nodding in agreement. Posted by: Michele at January 18, 2005 4:31 AM Post a comment |
