Books: My God Robert Jordon

I noticed at the airport on Monday that Robert has Finally released book 11 of "The Wheel of Time" I wasnt even tempted to buy it to be honest :( After waiting well over two years I have forgotten what the first 10 books were about LOL and I certainly cant be bothered to read them again!

Books: The Runes of The Earth

Stephen Donaldson finally got around to writing the

"The last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant The Unbeliver"

The first edition of which is called "The Runes of The Earth"

In typical fashion I have flown through it and now have to wait maybe 2 years for part two and then another 2 years for part three :( Dont you just hate authors huh!

Thomas Covenant

Well its been 20 years but Stephen Donaldson has finally got round to releasing the sequel to

"The Tales of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever"

So it looks like Lord Foul the Despiser didnt get killed off afterall eh :( I have yet to buy mine as I dont buy hardbacks :) But after waiting 20 years hell I can wait another month or so :)

I first read them when I was a submariner in the UK Royal navy way back when I was 19! Ive since re-read them no less than 5 more times and each time I have managed to get more from the story.

If your a Tolkien fan (who isnt these days) Then you'll find it to be a riveting read. I find it to be much more mature than Tolkien to be honest but if you dont cope to well with despair then you'll struggle! I would like to see them make a film from it but im not sure they could fit it all into even 10 films :)

Never read an epic until your sure its finished!

Im currently reading SE's Malazan empire series and am just about to finish book four! Yet again book five is not written :( So this will bring my tally of unfinished epics to four..

Robert Jordan wheel of time series

Im still waiting for book 11!! Yep book ELEVEN! He is not wrong calling it the wheel of time as I think he is caught in an infinate loop with this story and cant escape. I will have to read the whole series again as I cant remember anything about it now!

JV Jones Fortress of Grey ice

Is he ever going to give me book three to this series! I have been waiting over a year now and yet again have forgotten the first two in the series!

Ian Irvine Well of Echoes

Please Mr Ian give me book four to your well of echoes QUAURTET!

Never ever trust an author :) In fact wait until he is finished before buying the first book! This is what I am going to do in future as im sick of waiting over a year to be able to finish my storys.
