Bank Robbery

I see that the largest bank robbery ever to grace British soil has taken place in Northern Ireland.

The reason I stuck this in funny is because when I sat and thought about it, they stole Irish pounds! Where the hell can you spend 20 million Irish pounds without drawing attention to yourself! It`s not like you can change them at your local Thomas Cook is it.

How on Earth did they manage to steal 20million Irish pounds in Northern Ireland?

1. - Northern Ireland uses British pounds as currency.

2. - All old Irish currency was recycled into Euros throughout 2000 and 2001.

Just two points,
Northern Ireland is not on 'British soil' it is part of the United Kingdom. The monies stolen were not Irish Pounds (no longer around) but Pound Sterling issued by Northern Bank.

But what you conclude is true, and an interesting and 'funny' dilemma.
